When it comes to Student Friendly Camping with friends, we say the more, the merrier! There’s no better way to enjoy the great outdoors than a camping trip, great for blowing off steam, building friendships and making fantastic memories.
Our Student Friendly Campsite is just a few minute's walk from the beach, where there are vast open sands, shallow seas and plenty of space for everyone to catch a sunset together over the sea. There are great opportunities up the coast a little in Hunstanton for team building activities, watersports and shopping. Locally we are surrounded by countryside, nature reserves and endless miles of hiking along the coast path, so whatever your camping group is into, we are sure to have something locally for you all to enjoy. We also have a good link to the Coast Hopper Bus service, so you are not restricted to Heacham, you have the whole of Norfolk at your fingertips. Norfolk is very student friendly, with many outlets offering discounts and group booking deals.
We know it can be difficult to find a campsite offering student friendly group camping pitches, especially in popular locations. At Hunstanton Camping & Glamping, we don’t want anyone to miss out, we accept all kinds of groups here from all male/female, LGBTQAI, School Leavers, Care Leavers, Scout Groups and anyone in between!
Please also enquire if your group is not what you'd call 'young' as we also welcome touring groups, hikers and bike packers and will probably have a pitch for you!
Booking your group with us
We welcome camping groups on our site during off-peak times. You will often, therefore, see availability times restricted from Monday to Thursday avoiding the weekend and bank holidays, however, weekends are available to book out of season in quieter times.
A young adult is from 16 years old and we ask for more details when booking small groups as we need to be confident in the group's ability to acknowledge the venue's rules as well as the countryside code. We have a Warden on site but our aim is always to monitor at a distance and not impose on our guest's enjoyment of the coast and camping. We ask for there to be a leader who ultimately is responsible for everyone in that group. If however if everyone is under 21 years of age we ask for a parent who is contactable by mobile phone to be the responsible person for everyone in that group.
For our student friendly camping, we charge a flat fee of between £15/20 per person, per night. We book all guests together as one group and therefore all tents are assumed to be close together minimising space between members of your group. Keeping things cosy! We are a fire-friendly campsite and would prefer that you have just 1 fire between you all, we sometimes have fire pits available for you to use onsite and we sell wood for burning by the bag. There is a well-stocked shop down the road for your to buy marshmallows and camping food for cooking.
While we are student friendly and welcome all groups we ask that you respect our other guests and act responsibly at all times, Quiet times are between 11 pm-7 am and are enforced. We have had many groups stay with us with minimal disruptions to other guests, so we hope this trend continues as we would like to keep offering student friendly group camping by the beach! Please note that there is no alcohol to be consumed by anyone under the age of 18, we will check for ID as necessary.
