There are many different ways to enjoy the great outdoors with your friends, but camping is one of the most popular. If you and your friends are looking for a student-friendly camping trip, there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, be sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to what kind of trip you’re taking. You don’t want anyone to be surprised by a long hike or difficult climb if they were expecting a leisurely weekend in the woods.
Second, make sure everyone has the proper gear. Nothing ruins a camping trip faster than being cold, wet, and uncomfortable. Be sure that everyone has a good sleeping bag and warm clothes.
Third, choose a campsite that is suitable for your group. If you have young children or non-experienced campers, you’ll want to find a site that is close to amenities like bathrooms and running water. Finally, plan some fun activities for everyone to enjoy while you’re away from civilization. Whether it’s a hiking, fishing, or just relaxing around the campfire, make sure there is something for everyone to do so that no one gets bored.
At Norfolk Coast B&B Cottages & Camping, we understand how difficult it can be to find a campsite that offers large groups a designated pitch space - especially in popular locations. We don't want anyone to miss out, which is why we offer a variety of pitches to accommodate groups of all sizes!
We love having groups of young adults come and stay at our student camping site! However, to make sure that our other guests have a peaceful and enjoyable experience too, we only allow bookings from Monday to Thursday - avoiding the busier weekends. That said, if you're looking to come and stay with us during the quieter months, weekends are open for booking!
When booking a small group, we ask for more details as we need to be confident in the group's ability to adhere to the student camping site rules as well as the countryside code. Our Warden will be onsite but our aim is always to monitor from a distance and not impose on our guests' enjoyment of the coast and camping.
While there are no restrictions on the size or number of tents that you bring, we do prefer larger tents with lots of people to lots of people with lots of tents. But your set up will be confirmed when we contact you.
we ask for there to be a designated leader who is responsible for the group as a whole. If everyone in the group is under 21 years of age, we ask for a parent or guardian to be the point of contact and be responsible for the actions of the group.
At Student Camping, we charge a flat fee for the entire group. This includes the cost per person per night. We book all guests together as one bubble group and therefore all tents and eating areas are assumed to be together, minimizing space between members of your group. We want all groups to have a great time while respecting other guests, so please act respectfully towards others.
Having access to toilets and showers is important for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness. Fresh, clean drinking water is also necessary for staying hydrated and healthy.
We offer convenient parking for our guests, so you never have to worry about finding a spot. If you're looking to get a head start on your vacation, we also offer early check-in so you can start enjoying your time as soon as possible. And for our guests who are campervanning, we have electric hookups available so you can enjoy all the comforts of home.

Many of these campsites are located in scenic areas, such as the Lake District or near the coast, so students can enjoy the beautiful surroundings while saving money on accommodation.
