Camping allowed to start early!
"When are campsites reopening?" We know you're dying to know and for the longest time so were we! However, the wait is now finally over, and here at Norfolk Coast B&B Cottages & Camping, we are delighted to have been given the go-ahead to allow guests back on our campsite once again.
So buckle up because summer is just around the corner! Dust off your sleeping bags and tents stuffed away under the stairs because the question isn't "when are campsites reopening" anymore it's when can you be here!
All of our facilities are open for our guests and we are accepting campers of all interests including:
Whether you're a hiker with the smallest tent in the world or a big family with an even bigger tent, we have you covered!
We have BRAND NEW Bell Tents available waiting to be broken in and delightful Shepherds Huts that look as cosy as can be.
Motorhomes, Campervans & Caravans
Motor vehicles are of course welcome at our venue and we have improved our driveway to allow easier access on and off our site.
2021 Season rush to start!
After reading the roadmap laid out by our Government and the details from the Gov portal we have now opened our campsite to all guests 1 month earlier than we first believed. We are now open as of the 12th of April!!! This is a huge relief to us here at Norfolk Coast B&B Cottages & Camping and we can't wait to have you visit.
How have we done this? Why are we an exception to the rules?
At our No1 site in Heacham just outside the seaside town Hunstanton we have been able to renovate our grain store to allow for individual toilet facilities for every "bubble" visiting our venue. Shower facilities are also available which need a key to access the cubical which can be collected and then returned to the site warden who will then clean the cubical area before the next following bubble uses it.
Where can I find more information?
You can find guidance from Visit Britain regarding the latest Coronavirus information and advice for businesses opening on the 12th of April here: https://www.visitbritain.org/covid-19-new-coronavirus-latest-information-and-advice-businesses-1

"What can open" Statement:
- At Step 2, accommodation in which all facilities listed above are for the exclusive use of a single household/support bubble may open. This will mean that holiday parks, ‘standalone’ holiday lets such as houses and cottages, chalets, yurts, holiday boats, and motels which do not rely on sharing those facilities listed may open.
- Campsites and caravan parks will be permitted from Step 2 provided that the only shared facilities used by guests at the campsite or caravan park are washing facilities, toilets, water points, and waste disposal points. These facilities should be operated so as to ensure no household mixing takes place. This would involve either assigning shower facilities to one household group/support bubble, (i.e. making them private), or running a reservation and clean process (whereby one household can exclusively book the shared facilities for a fixed time, and the facilities are cleaned between reservations and kept well-ventilated).
- All accommodation may continue to open for the currently permitted reasons, such as to provide accommodation for those who are unable to return to their main residence; for the homeless; for those who need accommodation for work, education, or training purposes; for those who need to attend medical appointments; or for those self-isolating as required by law including for the Managed Quarantine Service for high-risk international arrivals.
