Dig out your favourite festive outfit, dust off your running shoes and get ready to dash for charity! This year Pensthorpe Natural Park is host to the Festive 5k, the family-friendly fun run through this piece of stunning Norfolk Countryside raising money for Priscilla Bacon Hospice and their very own Pensthorpe Conservation Trust.
Everyone's a winner baby! Prizes are not given to the winner of the race, instead, everyone will receive a medal for taking part, so never mind if you hop, skip, dance, sprint or waddle your way to the finish line, this race is for everyone, so get all the family involved in this great day out.
Well, there is one prize, but your stamina won't help you win, this is all about how creative you are! So find those antler hats, snazzy stockings and tinsel tiaras and get festive, the crazier the better we'd say. The Best Fancy Dressed will win a family ticket for Pensthorpe!
The 5K route is a single lap around areas of the park not normally open to the public.
Entry is £15 per adult (16+), children (5-15) are £7.50 each and Under 5s are free.
Pensthorpe is just a 30 min country drive from us here in Heacham, booking a stay here with us will offer the perfect location for exploring all that Norfolk has to offer
Giving a Helping hand
We went rummaging through the closets and cabinets here at Norfolk Coast B&B Cottages & Camping and we came across a bundle load of Santa Outfits. We thought to ourselves maybe these could be put to better use for maybe a Charity Event here in Norfolk. We offered some to those wanting to participate in the Hunstanton Christmas Day Swim, with so many still left over we scoured local events and found The Pensthorpe Festive 5K, this was the perfect place to offer our suits up to those that may need them to take part in the event, after getting in contact we delivered them to the gift shop where they were gratefully received by a lovely member of staff, who let us take a few snaps for the occasion.
